Prerequisites

  • A campaign open in the builder, with an email step

Steps

Draft a new email

  1. Add or open an email step.
  2. Click Write with AI.
  3. Give a short brief: the role, the tone (formal, friendly, direct), the key value proposition.
  4. Click Generate and review the draft. Edit directly.

Improve an existing email

  1. Write your initial draft.
  2. Click Improve with AI and choose: shorter, more personal, more direct, or better subject line.
  3. Accept, reject, or edit further.

Verification

The content reflects your brief or chosen improvement, variables are preserved, and tone matches.

Troubleshooting

  • Generic output. Brief was too vague. Add the role, the value proposition, and one concrete reason this candidate should care.
  • Variables stripped. Re-add them with the picker after generation.
  • Too long. Use Improve with AI, then Shorter.
  • Tone off. Regenerate with a different tone.

Best practices

  • AI gets you to a 70% draft. The last 30% is judgment, always edit before sending.
  • Spend the AI effort on subject lines; they move open rates most.
  • Mix AI-drafted and hand-written messages so the sequence doesn’t all sound the same.
